Health and Safety Manager

Due to continued growth Clemence Rogers are now recruiting a Health & Safety Manager to join a large, progressive commercial vehicle dealership, whose main activities are in road transport, supplying a range of customers from manufacturing, construction and national logistics operators. You will be responsible for the Health & Safety across all workshop locations which are based around the M25 corridor. In return you will receive the following benefits: Salary £45,000-£50,000, company vehicle, pension scheme, wellbeing program, 28 days holiday including bank holidays, ongoing training and development.

Health and Safety Manager Responsibilities:

• Work hand in hand with the management team to identify safety issues, develop, and build effective relationships with managers and employees to support and develop full H&S compliance.

• Identify, develop, and maintain company health and safety management systems, training programs, and procedures in line with current legislation.

• Co-ordinate Health and Safety management systems within the Company.

• Provide advice, guidance and support on current legislation to ensure the implementation of Health & Safety policy & procedures and associated safe systems of work.

• Design and develop written health and safety procedures.

• Monitor, revise, and implement ongoing updates in safety regulations laws or reporting requirements.

• Responsible for the co-coordination of risk assessment activities including record keeping.

• Conducting necessary health and safety training.

Health and Safety Manager Experience and skills required:

• Relevant Health and Safety Qualification (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent is desirable).

• Previous experience working in the Transport/Automotive/Commercial Dealership industry.

• Proven experience of working within a demanding Health and Safety position.

• Knowledge and experience of Health & Safety systems and good knowledge in problem solving techniques.

• Strong working knowledge of MS Office software.

• The ability to work under pressure and make a meaningful contribution to the business.
